While driving today, I overtook a man with a little girl for a passenger. I assumed it what his daughter. And then wondered if she was. The reason this is noteworthy? He was texting while driving. The little girl was not buckled and had her head out the rolled down window. I was angry and shocked at the same time. How could he be so irresponsible? In my incredulity I wondered if it would be right for me to call him out on it.
Three years ago I was robbed at gun point. One of the most dramatic stories I have to tell. Shortly before it all “went down” I had a sense something unsavoury was about to happen. Somehow that ‘knowing in my knower’ anchored me. I didn’t freak out when it was all going down. As luck would have it, the police weren’t too far, and some people managed to help apprehend one of the perpetrators. The police carted him off to their shop. His accomplices got away. Fortunately, the perp caught is the one who had my MacBook Pro.
With a flood of content online, it isn’t always easy deciding what to ‘consume’. As much as there’s great content there’s an equal amount of rubbish, if not more. In this episode I thought it would be great to talk about what I look for in content online.
The fear of being vulnerable was one barrier I had deal with when I started blogging. Then, I had to change my mind about vlogging. As I try to figure out the vlogging vs. blogging thing, I appreciate how much easier it is to talk on video that it is to write. Yeah, it is easier, at least for me, is to waffle on video than in writing. So, in this video, where I can’t decided what to talk about I talk about not being able to decide what to talk about. A helpful one when it comes to inspiration, creativity, innovation and productivity. Check it out
If you’ve every attempted anything you’ve had moments where you’ve questioned why you’re doing what you’re doing. The way you ask the question matters. You could be asking yourself to remind yourself. And, you could also be “asking” out of frustration. Even on the cusp on giving up. This vlog episode was sort of a random one where I spoke about the moments we ask, “Why Am I Doing This?“
