The fear of being vulnerable was one barrier I had deal with when I started blogging. Then, I had to change my mind about vlogging. As I try to figure out the vlogging vs. blogging thing, I appreciate how much easier it is to talk on video that it is to write. Yeah, it is easier, at least for me, is to waffle on video than in writing. So, in this video, where I can’t decided what to talk about I talk about not being able to decide what to talk about. I’ve written tens, even hundreds of thousands of words with the intention of publishing them. While I’ve published some, some of the words got no eyeballs besides mine. That blog unpublished blog post. They rest in a graveyard on my computer. Some of them I deleted. Where do deleted words actually go? Weird thought, right? But why does the blog post I didn’t publish exist?
In both life and leadership, the picture or dream we have for our lives and enterprise is grand. I’m yet to meet an honest person who says they want little or nothing out of life. If we all dreamt untethered by disillusionment, failure, and life’s other realities, something grand would emerge. In their purest, our dreams are big. The haunting, perhaps even taunting question, is “how to live your big dreams everyday?”
I wrote “The NOT Definition Of Hard Work” and that got a few people excited. Now the question some have asked is, “What Is The Definition Of Hard Work”. I’ve said some of my peace on what it is not, now let me state what it is.
If you’ve read anything I’ve written it is possible you’ve seen one way or another I could be better as writer. I’m aware I’m not the best writer there is or was. I’m also not among the best of communicators.
